Benefits of a Tankless Water Heater

When selecting a water heater for your property, you have many options to choose from. Tankless water heaters are becoming increasingly popular for homeowners because they offer numerous benefits versus traditional water heaters. Unlike conventional models that store and heat a large amount of water, tankless water heaters heat water on demand, providing hot water instantly whenever you need it. This not only eliminates the need for a bulky storage tank but also ensures a continuous supply of hot water, even during peak usage times. Additionally, tankless water heaters are more energy-efficient, as they only heat water when it is needed, resulting in lower energy bills and reduced environmental impact.

Make the Switch From Standard to Tankless

Switching from a standard storage tank water heater to a tankless unit involves removing the old tank, upgrading utility lines (gas, electrical, or venting), and mounting the new on-demand system. Due to the extensive and technical work involved, it is not a DIY project for most people.

D & L Plumbing can help residents of the Columbus, OH; New Albany, OH; Dublin, OH; Westerville, OH; Worthington, OH; and Powell, OH areas make the switch from a standard water heater to a tankless one. Annual Maintenance

While tankless water heaters can give you and your family many benefits, they can quickly become a nightmare if not properly maintained. Failure to do so can lead to a host of problems, such as the following:

  • Scale Buildup
  • Reduced Efficiency
  • Reduced Lifespan
  • Possible Warranty Invalidation
  • Reduced Property Value

The D & L Plumbing team can take care of annual maintenance, spotting issues before they become large ones and preventing others with regular upkeep. You can also help to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity from your tankless water heater by using vinegar or a descaler to remove mineral deposits. You can also clean the filter and inspect the venting and exhaust for clogs and damage. Lastly, check the pressure release valve, remove dust and debris, and run the hot water afterward to make sure everything is working correctly.
